Smoky's Bbq

Wow! I was very impressed with Smokeys bbq! I got the pit beef sammich (rare!), a side of Mac and chs, and some unsweetened ice tea. The sandwich meat was rare, not over cooked, and not dry. The portion was generous, too.

Good tasting BBQ! If you haven’t been here before, I recommend getting the slider trio special so you can try 3 different meats. I had the pit ham, pit beef (medium) and pork bbq with Mac n cheese as the side. All three were good but I think I liked the pit ham and pit beef the best. The Mac n cheese was very cheesy and tasted great!

Smokey’s serves pit beef that makes Maryland proud. It’s tender, smoky, and sliced like someone cares. The ocean fries taste like the fries at the boardwalk.

Not usually one to read reviews, but after reading other reviews about the ribs I almost cancelled my order. Let me just say I am happy I didn’t. I was expecting them to be tough and dry. In that way, I was very disappointed. They were juicy, tender, and covered in sauce. I can’t speak for other's experiences, but after eating an entire rack of their baby back ribs I feel obligated to stick up for them. For $25 I got a full rack with 2 sides and felt more than satisfied. Would order again.

I had the pit beef and some fries. The pit beef was delicious with horseradish onions and tiger sauce. The counter service was friendly. What would make this a better place for me is to have more sides to counter the other wise meat and carbohydrates heavy menu. The cooking is very down-home, which is fine for occasional meals, but I would get tired of it pretty quickly without more variety. As a final note, most of the people who come to this restaurant are overweight.

One of our favorite places for pit beef and turkey. My husband enjoys pit beef rare and this is one of the only locations that actually have rare beef. They have different size sandwiches, Jr, Med and Large. The JR size is perfect for kids. The fries are good. Soups (MD crab and cream of crab) are excellent. Can get crowded but the line to order moves quickly. Large dining room available to sit and eat!

I always enjoy my meal at Smoky’s. It doesn’t look like much. It’s in a strip mall and a little oldish looking inside. The sandwiches were great. They give you plenty of fries so don’t make the same mistake I did and order another side of fries. I did not care for the baked beans. The flavor and texture were my thing. My wife said her Cole slaw was decent. Love the side of liquid cheese sauce to dip everything in! Sorry for the partial eaten food…we both dove in before taking pictures.
